Credit must be given to Nissan for coming up with an excellent
design in the “Nissan Frontier”. Since 2009, Nissan has hardly
touched the Frontier except for a few tweaks that are not all
that significant and yet the vehicle has managed to hold a
strong stand in its competitive segment.
Similarly, the upcoming 2016 model comes with just but a few
tweaks to its exterior and interior. The new 2016 Nissan
Frontier pickup truck is still offered in two options i.e. the
King Cab and the Crew Cab.
2016 Nissan Frontier Exterior
The exterior largely remains the same as with the outgoing
model. However, the new vehicle has a reduced curb weight due
to the use of lightweight materials in its production.
The truck is still based on the F-Alpha platform which offers
excellent traction and has a large cargo space.
The front features a V-shaped grille with a chrome touch. The
grille is flanked by elongated headlights that are integrated
with LED daytime running lights. The headlights and DRLs are
housed in chrome-plated bases. The hood has been slightly
redesigned to improve its aerodynamics.
The trailer is also slightly larger than the predecessor model.
Buyers will choose either 17-inch or 18-inch wheels.
2016 Nissan Frontier Interior
The interior features a refreshed appearance with improved
materials for more comfort. The cabin will accommodate five
passengers while offering plenty of leg and head room.
The seats are made of soft and comfortable materials. Among
others, the cabin will feature as standard Bluetooth
connectivity, a satellite radio, an USB port, cruise control, a
quality audio system and a 6.0-inch touch screen display for
its navigation system.
There will be a different screen for infotainment controls. For
safety, the pickup truck features enhanced airbags, hill start
assist, tire pressure monitoring, ABS, traction and stability
